Hangover is an absurd comedy film directed by Todd Philiips. The film’s star are Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha and Jeffrey Tambor. The movie got over 400 million dollars of gross revenue and 35 million budget!!! Also the movie won the Golden Globe Award for the Best Motion Picture Comedy.
Story: The story is about four friends that are throwing a bachelor party for their friend who is getting married in a few days but it all went wrong when Alan (the protagonist brother in law and friend) mix in roofies in the drink and though it was ecstasy. The next morning Doug (the protagonist and the groom) disappeared and the three friends don’t have an idea where Doug could be, they had no memories of last night’s events but they have clues all around the hotel room that could help them to figure out what happened last night and find Phil before the wedding, from the looks of the hotel room they had hell of night partying, there’s a tiger in the bathroom, a baby in the closet and Stu’s teeth pulled out.
As the day goes on looking for more clues where Doug could be they remember bit by bit of what happened last night, what they did last night was pretty crazy that’s why it’s funny. Through the day of looking for clues they were chase by crazy Chinese men and their boss that kept asking them for his money that stole but they had no idea where the money is. They did so many absurd things in the last night’s event that will laugh make laugh throughout the movie.
In the end they found Doug in the rooftop of the hotel that they were staying in, he was there for the whole day and got sunburn, after finding where he was they rush back to the wedding since they were late. After the wedding they found a camera full of pictures of what they did when they were on drugs, in the camera they had a really great night letting loose, they stole Mike Tyson’s tiger, Stu’s got married to a stripper, they gamble in the casino with the Chinese guy and won a fortune, stole a police cruiser, they did so many inappropriate things that made this film really hilarious. The four friends realize that they had a hell of a night and they will keep it a secret from everyone and it will be their secret. I would give this movie a 9/10 because I find this movie hilarious and the way the tell the story, just waking up in the morning with a hangover and not remembering what happen and finding clues bit by bit makes it interesting.
Characters: The characters in the movie more specifically the four friends Phil, Doug, Stu and Allan are people that miss partying since they’re already in mid 30’s and have professional job ( but I don’t think Allan does) when they went to Las Vegas want to have a good time and escape from that for second nut in the after what they did in Las Vegas and came back all of them change into better people (I’m not sure if they all did but Stu did, he dump his mean girlfriend and made the stripper her girlfriend). I think I would give the characters 9/10 because the four friends are funny and they like partying.
Overall: I would recommend this movie to people who likes watching absurd comedy and people who likes partying and letting loose. Overall I like the movie, it’s a comedy movie it made me laugh a bunch of times and it reminded of summer vacation partying, I would give this movie 9/10
