Avatar (2009) Movie



Avatar (2009) movie is a sci-fi movie. Directed by James Cameron (The director of Titanic) and starring by Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana.

The Plot is about humans in 2154 that are mining a rare mineral called “Unobtanium” (that cost 20 million a kilo) in a planet called Pandora but this action is harming the natives called “Na’vi” and its also harming their homeplanet "Pandora". Naa’vis are human-like blue creature that relies on hunting for food that live in a forest full trees that glows at night and they ride creatures using their tails to control them. Human build genetically engineered “Na’vis” that human souls can be transferred on thus it’s called “avatar” then they use those “avatar” to learn more about the native “Na’vis”but the real plan is to spy on them and lure them away from the tree of life thing so they can mine unobtanium but when the main character learn how the "Na'vis" live and learn everything about them, he started to oppose to the original plan.



I like the plot in Avatar it makes it look like humans are greedy monster that will do anything just to get money in the movie it is kinda true but there are some humans in the movie that are different and they cared of what the consequences if they destroyed the tree of life.



The sci-fi fighting scenes reminds of halo because of the alien vs human thing but instead of the aliens being the bad guys its the humans that are the bad guys, they made it look like that the "Na'vis" are more humane than the humans which is kind of ironic in my own opinion.



The protagonist is a disable former marine name Jake Sully (Sam Worthington). He is sent to Pandora to replace his dead brother, because they are related by blood he is able to use his brother's "Na'vi" to continue his brother's mission to spy on the "Na'vi" tribe. Before Jake set on his first mission the higher-ups in the mining company wants him to lure away the "Na'vi tribe away from the tree of life so that they can mine precious minerals that cost a lot of money. He is trained by Dr. Grace (Sigourney Weaver) to fit in, Pandora's environment; soon he met Neytiri (Zoe Saldana ) the other protagonist. Where she took Jake to her tribe and thought him their culture and the way of their life, where Jake got attached to the people of the Na'vi but the higher-ups of the mining warned Jake that it’s not going to end well for him if he sided the Na’vis. Jake didn’t care about this still sided the Na’vis side so the mining company wage a war on them. The battle scenes remind me of halo and a little bit of star craft with the aircraft vs monster thing. At the end the good guys won and the mining company was sent away. It was a pretty good movie especially when you watch it in 3d it will looked more amazing. I watch it the 2nd day it came out with my friends and they all agree it was a pretty good that’s why it got a lot of revenue. The movie got $2,728,713,460 gross revenue and the budget cost $237 million. The people who made avatar got a lot back

Overall I really like the movie, I don’t have anything against it. I recommend it to anyone that like sci-fi movies. The story is kind of different to other sci-fi movies I watch ( I don’t watch a lot) but I really like it. I hope they make a second movie.
